Hanley Wood Releases REMODELING Magazine’s 2016 Annual Cost vs. Value Report --Better Times Yielding Higher Returns

Washington, D.C., January 11, 2016 – REMODELING Magazine announced today the release of its 29th annual Cost vs. Value Report comparing construction costs with resale value for 30 of the most popular home improvement projects in 100 U.S. markets.  Bigger and more expensive projects, rising new home prices, curb appeal and energy efficiency all contributed to a slight gain in remodeling projects’ payback at resale, with an average return of 64.4 percent return if the home is sold within a year.  That’s up from 62% in the 2015 report and the second-highest return in the past eight years.  Read more
