Are YOU Ready for 2014?
Peter Goldstone / HW.com / January 16, 2014
Is 2014 the year we’ve all been waiting for? Is this the moment when our industry gets the spark that will propel us into the next growth phase? All signs seem to be pointing in that direction. The question is this: ARE YOU READY?
No doubt we all have “recession fatigue.” We’re over the downturn. We’ve absorbed the shock it sent through our businesses, and we’ve slowly begun to come out of the shadows. But now is the point where we will learn who is market-ready and taking decisive action to grow in 2014. So I ask again: ARE YOU READY?
During the fourth quarter of 2013, you couldn’t escape the positive indicators coming from industry analysts. Our Metrostudy experts were predicting positive movement well ahead of Q4. But even the most conservative analysts were starting to preach about a new phase; THE phase in recovery that suggests the recovery itself may be over.
All across the residential and commercial construction industry, we have heard about the transformation sales and marketing executives have led in their businesses. Tales of woe have become stories of promise, where modern strategies, practices, and technologies are being adopted. New talent is infiltrating companies across our industry, bring with them a new set of eyes, ears, tools, and skills.
So if this is where your company sits – with a new sales and marketing regime, and a renewed sense of optimism – if this is where you want to be, what’s your plan? Are you going to dip a toe into the market? Or are you going to come out swinging?
If your company is still working on a new plan, who’s going to help you get there? Speed to market is more crucial than ever. Don’t sit back and hope you can do it alone. We at Hanley Wood are ready to help.
It’s time to ride the wave. ARE YOU READY?
