BUILDER Ranks as the Best Read Publication for the 31st Consecutive Year
Exhibit Surveys, Inc.’s latest Publication Readership Analysis also ranks BUILDER’s magazine, website, and show home for top preference/value

WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 18, 2013) — Exhibit Surveys, Inc. has just released the results of their publication readership study from the 2013 NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas, and for the 31st consecutive year, BUILDER continues to rank as the No. 1 most-read publication. BUILDER jumped four percentage points in readership over 2012, and boasts more than three times the readership of Professional Builder, another trade publication measured in the study.

BUILDER ranks first again as the “most valuable publication for your business” across all respondents and the builder segment. The brand’s website,, also received highest ratings among trade media sites for regular visitation.

“BUILDER remains focused on helping our readers innovate, create and succeed,” said Jeff Calore, Executive Vice President, Hanley Wood Residential Construction Group. “The IBS survey results again validate the unrivaled loyalty and engagement homebuilding professionals have with the BUILDER brand. We continue to make significant investments in our brand and our content across all information platforms. This survey reinforces that we are successfully delivering on our mission and that BUILDER is the leading brand in the residential construction industry.”

Produced by NAHB Leading Supplier’s Council and BUILDER, the survey also reported that The New American Home received the highest ranking for value and relevant ideas to improve homes built by respondents. The project has been the official show home of the International Builders’ Show since 1984 and showcases innovation and home building excellence each year. BUILDER is the official magazine of The New American Home, the International Builders’ Show, and the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB).

Exhibit Surveys Inc.’s annual IBS readership study is the only independent, third party study that measures unaided publication recall and readership for the residential construction industry. The report also serves as a powerful planning tool for marketers looking to better understand what media brands best deliver the homebuilder target, including readership duplication analysis, add-on readership, and more.
