Washington, DC – August 24, 2015 – Hanley Wood, the premier information, media, event, and strategic marketing services company serving the residential, commercial design and construction industries, announces the release of the Remodeling 550 List.  This list published by Hanley Wood’s REMODELING is an annual listing of the biggest full-service remodeling and replacement contractor firms, as well as the leading insurance restoration and franchise operations.

This year’s Remodeling 550 list includes 325 full-service companies, 150 replacement contractors, 20 insurance restoration firms, and 55 franchises.  The list is compiled based on reports submitted by the companies, as well as publicly available information.

New this year, participants in the full-service and replacement contractor categories could choose to have Guild Quality, the leading firm in customer satisfaction surveying for the remodeling industry, survey their customers. Businesses that won top marks from their clients received a special designation. In addition, this year’s list also denotes all Remodeling 550 firms that over the years have been selected for REMODELING’s Big50, an annual designation for companies that have achieved operational and financial excellence.

“America’s biggest full-service remodelers saw their revenues grow 14% last year and are projecting a 13% climb in 2015,” says Craig Webb, editor-in-chief, REMODELING.  “Replacement contractors had similar double-digit growth in 2014 and foresee an 8.4% rise in revenues in 2015.”

The top five full-service remodeling companies include: Alure Home Improvements, The Airoom Cos., Case Design/Remodeling, SageWater, and Normandy Design Build Remodeling.  Topping the list of replacement contractors: Window World, Inc., Champion Window Mfg. & Supply Co., Systems Paving Inc., Castle Windows, and Thomas Creek Window Co.

This year’s list features an interactive web presentation with easily sortable columns as well as dynamic interactive graphics.  The Remodeling 550 list, along with analysis and commentary on the just-released industry data is available on REMODELING’s website (remodelingmag.com), and featured in REMODELING’s August 2015 issue.
