“CREWS THAT ROCK” Competition to Honor Industry Members at World of Concrete 2014

Dallas, TX, September 9, 2013 – It’s that time of year again, when concrete construction and masonry construction crew members submit their outstanding projects from this year to be entered to win the CREWS THAT ROCK competition. World of Concrete 2014 will once again present the CREWS THAT ROCK competition, sponsored by BASF, to honor crew members for their teamwork and contribution to the industry. The top winners will receive a trip to WOC 2014 as well as other prizes in addition to widespread industry recognition.

Since crews have always been a huge part of World of Concrete every year, WOC wants to show the world the incredible accomplishments of these hardworking crews. The 2014 CREWS THAT ROCK competition will once again provide a forum for these concrete/masonry crews to share their stories and photos of projects from 2013.

Dean & Derek, popular radio and TV hosts of DIY Network’s Rock Solid, Indoors Out, and PBS’s Victory Garden, have been invited to participate in the 2014 CREWS THAT ROCK CONTEST, sponsored by BASF, at WOC 2014.  Dean & Derek (www.deanandderek.com) are a perfect fit to not only host the Crews That Rock 2014 Winners’ Reception at WOC 2014, but also to take part in the Experts’ Choice panel, helping to select two of the winning crews.

Crews will submit their stories online at www.crewsthatrock.com along with images capturing projects completed between January 1, 2013 through November 8, 2013. Projects will based on two categories, Community Service/Not-for-Profit and Commercial/For-Profit, and all submissions must be received by November 8, 2013. Two Grand Prize Awards will be given in each of the categories, Audience Award via online voting and Experts’ Choice selected by a panel of industry professionals.

The Grand Prize Winner in each category will receive the following:

— Up to $1,500 airline credit to fly the crew to WOC 2014.

— NEW this year, $500 American Express gift card awarded to each winning crew.

— Each winning crew receives three complimentary rooms in an official WOC hotel during WOC 2014 for the crew.

— Two free seminars per person (90-minute or 3-hour).

— A bag of gear from WOC Show Management & BASF.

Also, all four winning projects will be honored at WOC 2014 on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the CCLive Booth C3639. Winners will meet members of the CTR’s exclusive sponsor BASF, Dean & Derek and WOC Show Management, along with members of the industry press.
