Challenge: Evaluate The Woodland’s builder programs and determine if Metrostudy could suggest strategic changes that might lead to increased new home sales.
Solution: Analyzed the housing supply and demand in the surrounding submarket, as well as the Greater Houston Area. Suggested a repositioning pricing strategy to better compete with re-sales in the area.
Results: New home sales increased by 50% the following year while the Houston market continued to decline. The Woodlands market share of home starts increased from 2.8 percent in 2009 to 4.1 percent in 2010.
