Roughly 26% of households with broadband service plan to buy a smart home device or system in the next 12 months, respondents to a survey by the Consumer Electronics Association and Parks Associates found. Twenty percent plan to buy at least one device.

Top full-service remodelers and home improvement contractors expect $3.84 billion in sales
America’s biggest remodelers expect to see a 19.9% increase in revenue from 2012, while the nation’s largest home improvement contractors are looking for a 14.5% gain this year, the just-issued Remodeling 550 shows.

Residential Remodeling Index show 192 markets beating old peaks, 364 markets growing

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 8, 2013) — Remodeling and replacement project activity was stronger in the first half of 2013 than previously forecasted, based on the latest release of the Residential Remodeling Index (RRI) by Metrostudy, a Hanley Wood company.
